Over time all electrical installation will deteriate, legislation states the frequency in which a periodic inspection should be carried out. Below is a list to help you determine when you should have your property inspected. PAT Testing  PAT stands for portable appliance testing and is an important part of any health and safety policy. The test is carried out yearly. PAT testing should be carried out in the following circumstances: Where appliance are used by employees. Where the public may use appliances in establisments such as hospitals, hotels. schools      and shops etc. Where appliances are supplied or hired. Where appliances are repaired or serviced. At PHD our staff use the best standard equipment to ensure that all appliances are tested correctly and are safe to use. All testing is carried out with the institute of electric engineers code of practise and all our testing equipment is calibrated on a regular basis to ensure that  it is the most accurate test possible for all our customers. When carrying out the test all appliances will be tested for a number of faults and then will be given a pass or fail status which is indicated by a sticker showing the result and the next test date. A detialed printed report is then provided for your business showing all test results. Any minor faults on any applianceswill be recitified and made safe for use.
